11pm till 5am
£45 per ticket
Join Spookseekers for a Halloween Investigation at the Wakefield Theatre Royal and Opera House. The Theatre opened in 1894 and is the smallest Frank Matcham designed theatre in England. It began life as a theatre and music hall, then added cinema projection in the 1950s. It spent several decades as a bingo hall before recent years of renovation has returned it to a theatre. At the Theatre Royal many patrons have felt a cold wind rush past them as they sat in their seats, others have spotted a figure of a Victorian lady standing in the gallery, and theatre staff all blame 'Frank', possibly architect Frank Matcham, when the bar stools mysteriously move or anything goes wrong. There also reports of a stage hand being killed in the building and a audience member who died in his seat.
