The spookseekers team paired up and each pair had 4 staff members to join them in the investiagtion.
Each group headed out to various locations around the baths to begin there vigils. The investiagtion proofed to be very interesting and each group had something to report back with at the end of the investigation.
Group 1 :- Jayne & Steph ...........Office area above the Baths:- the group picked up on the presence of a lady called Charlotte.
The steam room :-The glass moved towards a member of the baths staff and a presence of a large man was felt.
Group 2 :- Mickey & Penny............Balcony around the pool:-No response from the glass divination but the crystals responded well.A lovely couple
were picked up that belonged to the building. A voice was heard saying "i'm here" by all present and a cubicle
door banged when there was no drafts or anyone present.
Group 3 :-Andy & Sheryl..............Office area above the baths:- Charlotte was picked up by one of the Baths Staff members and she was saying
"help me". Music was heard which sounded like a mouth organ been played.Various smells such as a ladies
translucent face powder were picked up.
The voice recorderd did not pick up any unusual sounds or EVPS. We did get some interesting pictures showing orbs around the pool area.
A sound has been detected on the camcorder when a member of the spookseekers team was alone in the Gym doing a vigil.It sounds like a
a woman whining but we cannot be sure if that is what it was,but he was alone in the gym and that was the only sound picked up.
Overall a very interesting investigation and we will definitly be going back to hopefully spend longer in each of the areas around the amazing
building. We would like to thank all the staff from the Baths for your help and involvment throughout the night.
On the 2nd Feb 2008 Spookseekers Investigated the Leopard Inn , Busrlem. The Leopard in was once a grand hotel frequented my some very famous people but sadly today it is derelict and in need of TLC........
We arrived at The Leopard Inn at 8pm and the members of the team did a walk around and some baseline tests throughout the building. All the tests were normal. At 9pm our guests arrived and the investigation got underway. We were joined on this investigation by a paranormal team from Wolverhampton and they decided to investigate the top floor of the Leopard whilst we started our investigation on the first floor. We started by calling out in some of the many derelict rooms of this once grand hotel. We didn't get any response to this and all the equipment was
normal with no fluctuations.
First Floor corridor :-Although everyone in the group was very apprehensive about the feel of the rooms and the corridor nothing paranormal was picked up. We decided after a while to change locations and headed to the small corridor and rooms along that corridor. In room 54 at the end of the corridor we all felt very unnerved as if something was there with us .We asked for a temperature drop and almost instantly a dramatic drop was recorded on the laser thermometers. We then called out for more signs that someone was present and again almost
immediately the wallpaper on the wall behind us started to lift up away from the wall. We checked for drafts or anything that could of caused this but no explanation could be found.
Red Room:-After a short break we headed to the red room on the 1st floor and started a seance around the table. Two members of the team both said that they saw the figure of a man with an 'orange' glow move from right to left across a closed doorway and when the area was checked noone was there. Then a different member of the team said they could feel the presence of an elderly lady peeping through the glass panels of the door. We did some glass work in this room on 2 seperate tables and both glasses were moving simultaneously. We didn't
get any names . Then strange knocking noises were heard by the group coming from a bench in the corner of the room. We tried to recreate the knocking sound in various ways but couldn't.
Cellars:- The 1st vigil in the cellars was carried out by the group from Wolverhampton. The sat in one of the small rooms off the end of the main cellars and started calling out. After a short while a large piece of brown glass was thrown at the entrance to the room from the direction of the main cellar, there was nobody else present in the cellars with us. Then in response to questions 2 team members walkie talkies started making clicking sounds for a positive response to the questions asked. Although every bodies walkie talkies were on the same frequency only 2 of them made the sounds.
Red Room 2 :-We started the second session in the red room using the spirit board. We got the spirit of a man called Jack and he didn't want us there. He kept spelling out 'go now' over and over. When we told him we were not leaving and where did he want us to go he spelt out '47'. We asked if he meant room 47 and he replied yes. So we headed upto room for 47 and asked him what he intended to do now we were there. We did not get anything strange from that room and no activity was recorded.
All in all we had an amazing time at the Leopard Inn and got some great activity,we would like to thank the team from Wolverhampton for joining us and all our guests for there involvement.

We arrived at the golden fleece at 8.30pm to do some baseline tests and set up for the arrival of the guests at 10pm. All the baseline tests were normal and the weather outside was wet & windy .
Once the guests had arrived and had been shown around we split into our small groups and began the nights investigation.
Lady Pecketts Room
Julie & Jay :- Some glass divination was tried to get the investigation underway and some of guests said they would like to try it.The glass did move although there was no consistancy to the movement and no details could be found. Some of the guests said that they had seen movement in the small bathroom area and 1 of them decided to be brave and sit in there on her own with the camcorder,nothing was detected.
Mickey & Jayne :- Nothing was detected by this group in this room and they all felt very relaxed .
Andy & Steph :- A figure was seen in the bathroom area by a few members of the group and footsteps were heard. Spirit lights were also seen.
Sheryl & Ellie := This group picked the presence of a man called Jack and he liked a busty barmaid. One of guests reported the the feeling of been touched on her ear and the feeling of blowing on her hand as well as something stroking her face.
The Minster suite
Julie & Jay :-The planchette was set up in the Minster suite in the lounge area of the room and both the team members and the guests decided to try it.Almost immediatly the planchette starting moving but always towards 1 of the guests in the group. Jay picked up that it was a little girl that was with guest all the time and was always at her side. The guest confirmed that she had the presence at home and had previuosly called in a medium who had also said that it was a little girl .We also picked up the presence of a boy child that was connected to the building with the name Thomas .
Mickey & Jayne :- This group also picked up on the spirit of a little boy called Thomas in this area and the planchette was moving to direct questions.
Andy & Steph :-This group did the ouiji board in this room and picked up the following information, Will a 4 year old has been for 40years and Will said that 3 more spirits had arrived and that he was born in 1964 and was hung by the landlord in 1968 in the bathroom.
Sheryl & Ellie :-This group had some great results using the planchette in this room. They picked up on 3 spirits, Margaret the mother, Micheal the son & Thomas the father. They picked up that Thomas had killed the son and that the nanny was accused of the crime. The year was picked up as 1854
The Shambles
Julie & Jay :-Divination was attempted in this area but yet again the little girl came through and was making it difficult for others to come forward. A shadow was seen moving across the fireplace by a few members of the team and we all agreed that this room had a horrible to feel to it. Footsteps and bangs were heard from the bathroom area when noone was moving around .
Mickey & Jayne :- This group all heard noises and groans in this area . The door to the room opened slightly when calling out and the glass divination was a success with the spirit of a little boy called Thomas been picked up.
Andy & Steph :- A 14year old girl was picked up using the glass as a means of communiaction.A face was seen in the mirror on the wall and a cats meow was heard on the camcorder. A total of 10 spirits were said to be present in this room at this time.
Sheryl & Ellie :-They made contact with Thomas through the use of the glass but the energy seemed flatter and they thought it was messed around with by another presence. The door moved slightly and the pot pourii that had been set up as an experiment moved also.
St Catherines Room
Julie & Jay :-A seance was held in this room and 1 team member and 1 guest went and sat in the bathroom area as activity has been reported in that area .During the seance Jay asked out for the spirit present to touch 1 of the ladies in the group, he suddenly jumped of the bed where he was sitting and the lights were switched on as he said something had tugged on his ear very hard . Some pictures taken in this area have some really bright coloured orbs visibile.
Mickey & Jayne :-Glass divination was tried with only slight movement. The camcorder was going in and out of focus as if someone walking past when everyone was accounted for . On a few occasions on the guests phoned switched itself on when the only way to do this is to open the flip up part and press the button. The camera drianed of a new battery .
Andy & Steph :- Through the use of the spirit board a male of 18years of age was communicating and it was said that a skeleton was found in the bathroom was his . A baby was heard crying and the spirit of a 3 year old girl was also detected.
Sheryl & Ellie:- Again this group used the spirit in this area and 3 spirits were detected. The surname Juxx came through and the name Martin that passed over in 1489 aged 25 years. He was in love with lady peckett and was murdered.
All in all a great nights investigation and we had some great activity throughout the night. Bright orbs have been detected in various rooms . I would like to thank all our guests that took part in this investigation you were all fantastic and also like to thank the staff of the Golden Fleece for letting us investigate this amazing building. I am sure we will return in the not too distant future.
